The Commission has reported approximately 2536 tentative vacancies. Educational Qualification Required
For SSC CHSL Recruitment 2026, candidates generally need to pass the 12th Standard or equivalent examination. However, specific DEO/DEO Grade 'A' posts require 12th Standard in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject. Age Limit

Salary Details
Selected candidates will receive salary according to the Pay Level of the allotted post. LDC/JSA comes under Pay Level-2, while DEO posts are available under Pay Level-4 or Level-5 depending on the post and department.

Selection Process
SSC CHSL selection consists of Tier-I and Tier-II Computer Based Examinations. Candidates are shortlisted for Tier-II based on their Tier-I performance. Tier-II contains four sections, including Mathematical Abilities, Reasoning and General Intelligence, English Language and Comprehension, General Awareness, Computer Knowledge and the required Skill/Typing Test.
Minimum qualifying marks in Tier-I and Sections I, II and III of Tier-II are 30% for UR, 25% for OBC/EWS and 20% for other categories. Final merit is prepared using aggregate marks in Tier-II Sections I and II, subject to qualifying the required Computer Knowledge and Skill/Typing Tests.
For LDC/JSA, the typing requirement is 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi. DEO Skill Test requirements are 15,000 key depressions per hour for specified DEO posts and 8,000 key depressions per hour for other DEO posts.
Application Fees
The application fee for SSC CHSL is Rs. 100. Women candidates and candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD and eligible Ex-Servicemen categories are exempted from paying the application fee.

How to Apply Online in SSC CHSL Recruitment 2026?
Applications must be submitted online through the new SSC website or the mySSC mobile application. Candidates who do not have an OTR on the new SSC website must first complete One-Time Registration because the old OTR from the previous SSC website will not work on the new website.
